A-Z Challenge

Rising to the challenge: the A-Z Blogging Challenge (I hope 🤞)

It’s been a looooong time since I’ve done anything like this but I’m getting back into the flow with my writing so I thought, why not? 🤷‍♀️ All I need is a bit of organisation, a few ideas, the time to post, the time to check out other people’s posts, time to … Wait, hang on a minute …

Well, despite all of that, I’m going for it anyway!

For those unfamiliar with this challenge, it involves posting every day in April (except Sundays, we need a day off, right?), with each post beginning in some way with the letters of the alphabet. So, 1st April is A, 2nd April is B, and so on. For a far more comprehensive explanation you can check out the official Blogging from A to Z April Challenge page.

To kick off my participation in this madness, I mean challenge, this post is part of the big theme reveal. You don’t have to have a theme, but it can help to keep focus and momentum as the month goes on.

So, without further ado, my theme for this year’s challenge is going to be …

My thinking is that they are short and sweet, so won’t take too much time to read. The list of participants is already pretty hefty, so I don’t want my posts taking up too much time when there are so many others to read as well.

This year’s challenge also has added significance because it’ll be the first since the organisers lost their ‘official graphics guy’ from previous challenges, Jeremy Hawkins. As a tribute and to mark his epic contribution to challenges past, the logo for this year features his well-known beard and raised eyebrow. Thank you, Jeremy, for all your efforts!

So, wish me luck and I’ll see you on the 1st April 2022 for my first haiku!
